ITEM 1 - 10/11/09 The Oratory and Old Church will be featured in the forthcoming BBC 2 series "Great British Train Journeys" in which Michael Portillo follows the journeys of George Bradshaw, who developed the railway timetable in the nineteenth century, and investigates some of the sites Bradshaw described in his early railway guides.
Portillo takes the train through Cornwall to Penzance stopping off to visit several sites of interest. Members of the Trust met him on the dunes and explained how the Oratory came to be covered and the plan to uncover it. The programme will be shown on a Friday in January 2010. We will publish the exact date as soon as we have it.

Dick Cole has developed a computer visualisation of the Oratory which will help as to explain the plan to uncover the Oratory again. Hopefully, this will soon be available on the via the website.
